UW walk and friends BBQ on the 4th of July

We got up early the morning of the 4th, and headed to our absolute favorite stroll on the University of Washington campus. Chuck graduated there in 1996, and we have been walking through the campus for quite a few years. They have so many neat buildings, and we love to check out the rose garden, as well as the plant and vegetable gardens that the horticulture students maintain during the year.







In the afternoon we headed to our friends BBQ. There were lots of kids there, including Owen, Amelia, Lily and Willa who you see in the pictures. Lola had a hat on that was way too small but it was the only "Baby's 1st 4th" I could find. Our friend Cyrus loves to climb trees, and it is not unlike him to be found at the top of one at someone's party.
