Lola's 1st Birthday

It was a big day for our daughter Lola. She celebrated her first birthday with some help from her family. Grandma Harvey came in a week early and got to spend some time with her and helped me out tremendously. I swear grandparents seem to love their grandchildren even more than the parents love their own child. Ok, that is not true, but it is so amazing to see how much love a grandparent can have for a baby they didn't give birth too. Truly touching!
The day was lots of fun and Lola was a trooper with everyone staring at her while she opened her presents. When the cake came out, and she didn't really know what to think. There wasn't any significant smearing of the cake on her face, but she managed to get messy enough. We were very thankful that our families could be there to watch Lola celebrate such a milestone. Thanks everyone!!! We love you!
