On Mother's Day our daughter was baptized into the Catholic Church. The baptism was held at St. Catherine's Church in Maple Leaf. Both my family and Chuck's were in attendance, and a couple of friends. Afterward we went back home to celebrate with food and an ice cream cake. No, Lola did not get any cake, but if I would have thought of it, I probably would have given her the smallest piece (microscopic) to see how she would have reacted. As it turned out, since she wasn't eating cake, there was more for the rest of us. And a piece still in the freezer tempting me right now as I update this blog. Yummy!
